Esta mañana, la página web oficial del certamen publicaba brevemente por error la lista, y tras la captación del hecho en la red, el blog del festival ha acabado por confirmar la selección, aunque indica que la confirmación oficial llegará el próximo 19 de abril.

En la lista destacan, entre otros, prestigiosos directores como Terrence Malick, David Cronenberg, Jacques Audiard, Paul Thomas Anderson, Derek Cianfrance, Park Chan Wooko Valérie Donzelli. Una extraordinaria gama de realizadores con un amplio abanico de edades, desde un veterano de 103 años como el portugués Manoel de Oliveira a la nueva sensación del cine canadiense, Xavier Dolan, quien ha cumplido recientemente 23 años. La 65 edición del Festival de Cannes tendrá lugar del 16 al 27 de mayo de 2012 y será inaugurada por 'Moonrise Kingdom' deWes Anderson.
